Career History Summary
1998 – present Ultra Electronics Ltd. Started here as a Principal Systems Engineer before becoming Chief Systems Engineer for the business. Became Technical Manager 21/2 years ago and currently responsible to the Managing Director (MD) for developing and maintaining company engineering policy, capability and strategy and for providing technical leadership at the business level across all stages of project lifecycle.
1993 – 1998 Systems Analyst, MoD. Carrying out the technical analysis of air and air-defence related C3 systems including data-links, computer systems, comms equipment, radars & ECM systems.
1990 - 1992 Senior Project Officer Radio Introduction Unit.
Responsible for the Introduction into Service of modern communications systems, including satellite systems.
1987 - 1990 Technical Signals Analyst GCHQ, Cheltenham .
Carried out technical analysis of radar signals using analogue and digital techniques, a variety of computers and other analytical tools
1982 - 1990 – Junior Engineering Officer in the RAF in a variety of roles including maintenance of airfield navigation systems & comms and command of a Signals Unit.
