Position: New Product Introduction Engineer (NPI)
Salary:£35,000 - £45,000
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced New Product Introduction Engineer within the PCB manufacturing department. The focus of the role will be to engage with the PCB Design Authority and other stakeholders, to ensure new designs are aligned with key Design for Manufacture (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA) and Design for Test (DfT) principles, to enable the smooth transition of new product designs from concept into full scale product production.
As a key senior member of the PEC Engineering team, you will carry out activities in support of multi-project printed circuit card manufacture.
*The NPI Engineer is required to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders and contributors in the introduction PCB's into the manufacture process.
*Working closely with the product design teams to develop manufacturing processes and techniques.
*Manage the manufacture of prototype hardware to support design proving and trials activities.
*Contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives as part of the Project IPT or PEC Engineering Function.
*Resolving technical issues in relation to the design and manufacturing processes during product concept design and development.
*Ensuring accurate reporting of the product end to end development cycle against all aspects of project acceptance phases gates, and interpreting requirements back to design/manufacturing authorities.
*Experienced and ambitious NPI Engineer with a proven track record in the delivery of new electronic products from concept through to full scale production.
*A natural communicator, able to build strong relationships, with a strong background in Design for Manufacture (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA) and Design for Test (DfT) principles, within the electronics manufacturing arena.
